DENVER KMGH 鈥?The 6-year-old girl who died aft stanley cup er falling 110 feet o stanley cup n a ride at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park in Colorado earlier this month was not properly buckled in and was sitting on top of two seatbelts, according to a state investigation released Friday.The report from the Colorado Department of Labor and Employments Division of Oil and Public Safety, which oversees amusement park rides, found the two people operating the ride were given indicators that one of the seatbelts was not properly buckled. It goes on to say that they didn t notice because the girl, Wongel Estifanos,had a belt strap sitting across her lapThe report blames multiple factors for the girls death, including multiple operator errors and a lack of proper training and understanding of how the rides operator interface worked.The report says stanley cup the ride, the Haunted Mine Drop, will remain closed until the division re-permits the ride, which can only happen once the issues raised in the report are addressed. The Montana Supreme Court has thrown out the conviction of a former Billings attorney who was convicted of murder 15 years after his wife was found drowned in the Bighorn River.The case against Brian David Laird has been sent back adidas campus to Big Horn County District Court in Hardin following the ruling crocs issued Tuesday.In 2016 Laird was sentenced to 100 years in prison following his conviction of deliberate homicide for the 1999 death of his wife, Kathryn Laird, who body was found in the afterbay area of the Yellowtail Dam.Laird, a former Billings attorney who was living in Colorado when he was arrested, appealed his conviction arguing, among other issues, that testimony from a deceased forensic pathologist was wrongly admitted at his trial.An FBI agent testified that during the autopsy the pathologist described bruising around the woman s neck as troubling. A majority of the Montana Supreme Court justices agreed, stating the evidence should not have been allowed because Laird s right to cr yeezy oss-examine or confront a witness against him was violated.
